Perhaps one of the most famous graffiti artist in the world is the British artist, Banksy.
Not much is known about the actually identity of Banksy. The only thing about his identity that has been confirmed is the year he was born and his place of birth.(1974 Bristol, England)
Banksy's art work is most recognizable for for focusing on themes of
Anti-capitalism, Anti-fascism, Anti-imperialism, Anti-authoritarianism, and other such related movements.
Banksy's technique basically uses stencils and some computer generated prints.
Banksy is normally uses visual imagery to get his points across but he has also made works that rely on words.
It is still argued by many whether or not Banksy work should be considered "art". Most critics have deemed Banksy's art as simple vandalism.
He is also known for making sculpture and altering film and sculpture.In April 2006, Banksy made a sculpture based on a crumpled red phone box with a pickaxe in its side, and placed it on the of a side street.
Banksy has shown that he is a true master of satirical art.
